The Kenyan government has announced that there are new job opportunities on the horizon for Kenyans to work abroad in four different countries.

Kenya's State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed has announced that Kenya will soon be able to send its citizens to several countries once the bilateral labour agreements are finalized. Germany will provide 250,000 job opportunities, Israel will offer 30,000 agricultural jobs (with 3,000 becoming available by March), Serbia will have 20,000 jobs in construction and services, and Russia will offer 10,000 jobs. Speaking on Tuesday, the Spokesperson highlighted President William Ruto's commitment to positioning Kenya as a competitive source of professional, skilled, and semi-skilled labour, as well as promoting it as a hub for investment, trade, and tourism.

He also pointed out that there are 2500 job opportunities for healthcare workers in Saudi Arabia. On January 2, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection stated that the Saudi government is looking for female healthcare workers to work as general nurses and healthcare assistants on a two-year contract that can be renewed. Nurses in Saudi Arabia will receive a monthly salary between Ksh.92,000 and Ksh.147,000, depending on their level of education.

Those holding a degree will receive a minimum monthly salary of 3,500.00 SAR (approximately Ksh.147,000), while diploma holders will earn at least 3,000.00 SAR (around Ksh.126,000). Certificate holders will be paid a minimum of 2,200.00 SAR (about Ksh.92,000) per month. In addition to their salary, nurses will also receive round-trip air tickets and be eligible for overtime pay under Saudi Arabia's labour laws. The Ministry has specified that applicants must be between the ages of 22 and 35.

To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be a Kenyan citizen, hold a Bachelor of Science Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Nursing,
2. Be a registered and licensed member of the Nursing Council of Kenya
3. Possess a valid Police Clearance Certificate.
4. 2 years of continuous nursing work experience for nurses with a degree
5. Demonstrate proficiency in English.
6. Hold a valid Kenyan passport
