Kenyan-Born Sally Kimondo Wins Councillor Seat in the UK

Kenyan citizen Sally Kimondo has emerged victorious as the newly elected Dunstable East Councillor.

In a remarkable triumph, Kimondo has emerged as the indisputable winner, securing a total of 372 votes and surpassing all other contenders in the political race. Widely known for her unwavering commitment to providing support for Kenyan residents in Luton, Dunstable, and the surrounding areas, she has received praise for her tireless advocacy on behalf of the Kenyan community abroad. Serving as a representative of the Dunstable and Houghton Regis regions within the Labour Party, Kimondo has made a solemn promise to drive societal change. Having obtained a degree in Social Work from the University of Bedfordshire, she has gained recognition for her steadfast adherence to her political ideals.

Kimondo's LinkedIn profile showcases her extensive experience as a seasoned senior Social Worker with a background in government administration. Throughout her career, she has acquired valuable expertise in child welfare and currently plays a vital role on a Safeguarding team. Moreover, Kimondo holds the esteemed position of founder and Chair of the Luton, Dunstable & Surrounding Kenya Community Forum, an organization that has been honoured with multiple accolades. As a councillor, she will champion the interests of the local Kenyan community and other residents in the area.
