President Ruto Returns from Historic US Visit

President William Ruto returned to Nairobi on Saturday evening after concluding a three-day state visit to the United States. , welcomed by senior government officials

Among those who greeted him were Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, Defense Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah, Inspector General of Police Japeth Koome, and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei. The President expressed his delight at being back home. His trip to the US held significant importance as he became the first African leader to visit the country in 16 years, commencing his journey in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday.

Meanwhile, in a move aimed at fortifying the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party's political activities leading up to the 2027 elections, Secretary-General Cleophas Malala has announced that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has agreed to establish a leadership school at the party's headquarters. The CCP, China's ruling party, has been in power for over 75 years since its founding in 1920. Following his 10-day visit to China aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and promoting cultural exchanges, Malala reveals that China has pledged to support Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in constructing its new headquarters, symbolizing 60 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

The UDA Party delegation visited SANY International Holdings Headquarters in Hunan Province to underscore the importance of manufacturing in economic development and job creation. According to the party, this tour highlights the need to prioritize manufacturing as a critical component of modernization and development, a focus emphasized in the Kenya Kwanza manifesto.

This visit also coincided with the second round of grassroots elections for the UDA party. Previously, UDA's executive director Nicodemus Bore had announced that the party would seek Sh1 billion from the CCP to help fund its headquarters.
