Kenyan Diaspora in Colorado to Access Consular Services in June Outreach
The Kenya Consulate in Los Angeles will hold a mobile consular outreach in Aurora, Colorado, from 4 to 6 June 2026, offering key government services to Kenyans living in the Mountain West region of the United States.
The three-day programme, organised in partnership with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, will take place at Wellsprings of Joy Church, 11059 E Bethany Drive, Suite 214, Aurora. Services will be available daily from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Officials said the outreach will provide passport renewals, applications for police clearance certificates, national identity cards and birth certificates. Additional consular services will also be available during the event.
The programme is part of ongoing efforts by the State Department for Diaspora Affairs to improve access to government services for Kenyans living abroad. Mobile outreach initiatives are intended to assist citizens who live far from diplomatic missions and would otherwise need to travel long distances to process official documents.
Organisers have advised Kenyans living in Denver, Aurora, Colorado Springs and nearby areas to arrive early to avoid delays and congestion. Applicants are expected to carry all required supporting documents, including existing passports, identity cards, birth certificates and relevant application forms or payment confirmations.
The outreach is expected to attract hundreds of participants, reflecting the growing Kenyan diaspora population in the United States and increasing demand for accessible consular services. Officials said the initiative is aimed at strengthening engagement with Kenyans living abroad while improving access to essential government services.
