Kenyans protesting in the Hague and others in London

Kenyans around the globe have united in protesting against the government's proposed Finance Bill 2024.
The protests have ignited across major cities, from Nairobi's bustling centre to the streets of London, Berlin, and beyond. A defining characteristic of this movement is its youthful leadership. United by a shared cause, these urban and multi-ethnic protestors vehemently oppose the proposed tax measures that disproportionately burden ordinary citizens. Their voices resonate through the streets, demanding accountability and a reformed system.
The global nature of these protests underscores their significance. In London, demonstrators draped in Kenyan flags confronted police outside the High Commission, their chants echoing messages of dissent against the government. Outside the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, a sizeable contingent of Kenyans staged a camp, urging the court to reopen a previously dropped case against President William Ruto concerning alleged crimes against humanity during the 2007/2008 post-election violence.
Similarly, unwavering determination marked the rallies held outside the Kenyan Embassy in Berlin and across the United States in cities like Washington and Dallas. These demonstrations reflect a week-long movement applying collective pressure on the government to withdraw the Finance Bill. While the President's recent reversal on the bill may appear as a concession, the unrest persists. Kenyans yearn for more than fleeting policy changes as they seek a system built on accountability and lasting transformation.
The protests extend beyond mere taxation representing a yearning for transparency, equitable representation, and a government that prioritizes the well-being of its people. Ambassadors and high commissioners from various nations have expressed concern over the violence witnessed during some demonstrations. They urge all parties involved to exercise restraint, emphasizing the importance of peaceful dialogue and solutions that hold meaning.

Although I support the tribaless champions,i wonder why the writer acted as my spokesperson.
Comrades,
It's OK, Gen Z are not to be taken lightly .
As parents we did the best during Mwakenya era, some of us had to flee . The likes of Willy Mutunga stayed back and fought.
We did our best based on the conditions on the ground.
Sometimes, we have to swallow our ego.
@ comrade Kora kanini, these demostrations are awake up call to all Kenyans.Since we are 'awake now',we should remain vigilant. When we fail to hold our leaders to account,we are failing on our civic duty.
For so long we have let our leaders get away with"murder" so to speak. And this situation has emboldened them to think that they can get way with any criminal activity.
All our leadesr have to do is put mwananchi first. And they can do that by delivering on their promises. After all these promises are paid for by mwananchi. So those leaders who steal public coffers deserve to hang...
Yes, let's all heed the WAKE UP CALL.Otherwise we shall see more demonstrations in future...
And KUDOS to my religion science. It did a "miracles" to facilitate communication, and logistical aspects of those who lead GenZ,and supporters. This is technology well used. My two cents worth of opinion.

Comrades,
For all of us who went through NYANYO HOUSE, It was easy to accept the charges aligned against us. Ask , willy mutunga, Kenneth Matiba, Babu owino, Baba himself, Jeff Kwirikia , Martha k, etc
I salute Gen Z for the efforts .
Bure kabisa! We're not opposed to WSR's regime. These are just goons demonstarting against the F Bill.
I am a Gen Z and kindly don’t speak on our behalf! Just sit and watch us do our thing our way! We are not done yet!
Much about nothing, too much idle time in their hands, that’s all!!!!
