Kenya's National Job Recruitment Program has launched its latest phase in Nakuru County, with Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua announcing a recruitment event scheduled for November 25, 2024.
The event, taking place at Rift Valley National Polyethnic from 8 am to 5 pm, will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, building upon successful recruitment drives in Machakos, Makueni, and Kitui counties. The initiative has generated opportunities for Nakuru residents, with over 1,000 positions available across multiple countries including Australia, Qatar, Poland, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Germany. Prospective candidates are required to present their National ID, academic credentials, an updated curriculum vitae, and passport if available.
CS Mutua emphasizes the program's potential to secure immediate employment opportunities abroad, with some successful candidates potentially departing before the holiday season. This comprehensive recruitment initiative aligns with President William Ruto's vision of expanding employment prospects both domestically and internationally. The program's momentum continues with upcoming recruitment events scheduled at Baringo National Polytechnic and Nyandarua National Polytechnic in the following days.
Launched on November 20, 2024, the program aims to extend its reach across all 47 Kenyan counties. The initial phase has already demonstrated promising results, particularly in Qatar, where 3,247 Kenyans were selected from a pool of 8,000 available positions. Nearly 1,500 candidates have received offer letters and are preparing for their departure. The Qatari employer is expected to return to Kenya to complete the recruitment process for the remaining 5,000 positions.
To ensure widespread accessibility and proper implementation, the government has established partnerships with key stakeholders, including the National Employment Authority, the National Industrial Training Authority, and licensed recruitment agencies. The recruitment events are strategically hosted at county headquarters and Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions.

Hawa ni wajinga tu.
Ruto MUST GO
Check this out, a person gets a loan for 200.000 schillings to pay the recruiting firm just to get a job that will pay 20,000 per month. Do the math.
How is this good news, out sourcing labor, incompetent leaders unable to create jobs, bad governance forcing production companies to leave, very sad.
