A man has filed a case in court seeking to have Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho disqualified from seeking re-election.
Abdalla Juma says Joho’s academic qualifications do not meet the threshold required by the constitution for a gubernatorial candidate and therefore wants the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to bar him from running.
Joho recently having admitted he scored D- in the KCSE. Abdalla says this invalidates the degree Joho obtained in Uganda, because a minimum grade of C+ is required to be for admission into university. The petitioner says John degree was obtained fraudulently and should not be recognized by the IEBC.

Jubilee Alliance:
Is being corrupt make one eligible to run? Jubilee has been the most corrupt political party in the entire Kenyan history and yet their leaders have the nerve to ask the people of Kenya for five more years to empty the treasury!
John Majors was a Prime Minister in the U.K. and never went to college!
For goodness sake, leave Ali Hassan Joho alone!
IEBC:
In the past election you cleared candidates with a very serious and questionable past run for the highest office in the land. If you listen to the irrational voices of the members of the Jubilee Alliance and disqualify Ali Hassan Joho, the entire election results will be NULL & VOID. Don't listen to the negatives voices of the people who have shown nepotism, stole people's lands, almost bankrupted our treasury.
If being educated is what I have seen the Jubilee Alliance do, I would rather call myself illiterate rather than be a party of thieves, rapists, and con-artists posing as "waheshimiwa."
I admire the vigorous fight Kenyans are exhibiting against this poor guy Joho. I fail to understand the concept behind this fight against a governor that a majority of the people of Mombasa favor.
If only this type of passion can be exercised toward corruption and justice to the Kenyan people, Kenya will be far beyond the norm.
