Kenya’s Beatrice Chepkoech, Hyvin Jepkemoi, and Lydia Rotich on Saturday qualified for the finals of the 3000m Steeplechase in Rio.

Chepkoech and Jepkemoi won heats 2 and 3 respectively, while Rotich qualified after finishing fifth in heat 1, a heat won by Bahrain’s Ruth Jebet (formerly of Kenya).

The final race of the women’s 300m steeplechase takes place on Monday, August 15th.
