Auma Obama's Strong Message to Kenyans
Former United States President Barack Obama’s younger sister, Auma Obama has taken to the social media to bash Kenyans over their lack of patriotism.
In a message on Twitter, Ms Obama first took issues with Prof Wajackoya, a leading political commentator, who while offering an opinion on KTN said that he was ‘ashamed to be a Kenyan citizen.’ The Professor was speaking in reference to amendment on electoral laws that were passed by the National Assembly on Wednesday and Senate on Thursday. He claimed that the amendments made Kenya ‘a laughing stock internationally.’
"How dare you be ashamed to be Kenyan! If we would strive to BE MORE KENYAN and not LUO, KIKUYU, KAMBA ETC, we would not be in this mess!!!," Auma Obama said on Twitter.
Auma called on Kenyans to rise above their ethnicity and confront the problems ailing Kenya. "We must each blame ourselves as Kenyans for not taking a stand AS A UNITED NATION. Don't blame look at what u can do!," she added.
