Meru Senator Mithika Linturi has suffered yet another blow in the ongoing bitter divorce case with his estranged wife, Maryann Keitanny.

The High Court has on Wednesday barred Linturi from withdrawing, transferring or interfering with cash held in several bank accounts including Cooperative Bank, Family Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and Equity Bank.

Justice John Onyiego has also directed the politician and his agents from interfering with six matrimonial properties including one in Kitengela.

He has also been ordered against wasting, damaging or interfering with matrimonial cars, including a Range Rover and a Toyota Land Cruiser, used by Ms. Keitanny.

The latest orders come days after Ms. Keitanny obtained orders blocking Linturi from evicting her from their Runda home. On December 19th, 2018, Linturu hired more than 15 machete-wielding goons to kick out Ms. Keitanny from the home.

Keitanny, who previously worked as the chief of staff in the office of Deputy President William Ruto, has filed for divorce.

She wants her union with Linturi dissolved citing neglect, cruelty, desertion, and infidelity and wants the court to award her 50 percent of the shares and assets held by Linturi in Atticon.

“I had on several occasions been exposed to venereal diseases and STD’s of various kinds and when I confronted him to accompany me for the treatment he threatened me with death,” she says in divorce documents.

She also wants a share of Litany Investments Limited, Arc Business Solutions Ltd, Arkchoice Insurance Brokers Limited, Arkchoice pharmaceuticals, Arkgroup Limited, and Fancy solutions Limited.
