Police in Kilifi are holding Kenyan-based Turkish tycoon Osman Elsek for allegedly shooting a Kenyan boy.

Osman, 55, is said to have shot the teenager after chaos broke out during a football match in Kilifi on Friday, according to a police report.

This was after a group of village boys attacked another from Good News Rehabilitation Center that was attending a football match.

Reports indicate Osman was passing by when he saw the two groups fighting, prompting him to alight from his car and shoot in the air to disperse the boys.

He then shot in the ground before firing the third shot at the boys, shooting one of them in the process.

A police report filed at Kijipwa Police Station under OB no 20/23/10/2020 shows the 15-year-old boy identified as Frank Omwenga was shot on the chest right below the left nipple.

After the incident, Osman left the scene but the boys picked their injured colleague and marched to his residence where they camped at the gate.

The foreigner caved in to pressure and rushed his victim to Mombasa Hospital where he was admitted to the ICU. The boy is in stable condition.

Osman later surrendered himself at Kilifi Police Station, where he was detained and his Glock pistol was confiscated with 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Osman, who was in January this arraigned in court for allegedly defiling three girls in his palatial Kikambala residence, is set to be paraded in court on Monday.
