Police in Kilifi are holding Kenyan-based Turkish tycoon Osman Elsek for allegedly shooting a Kenyan boy.

Osman, 55, is said to have shot the teenager after chaos broke out during a football match in Kilifi on Friday, according to a police report.

This was after a group of village boys attacked another from Good News Rehabilitation Center that was attending a football match.

Reports indicate Osman was passing by when he saw the two groups fighting, prompting him to alight from his car and shoot in the air to disperse the boys.

He then shot in the ground before firing the third shot at the boys, shooting one of them in the process.

A police report filed at Kijipwa Police Station under OB no 20/23/10/2020 shows the 15-year-old boy identified as Frank Omwenga was shot on the chest right below the left nipple.

After the incident, Osman left the scene but the boys picked their injured colleague and marched to his residence where they camped at the gate.

The foreigner caved in to pressure and rushed his victim to Mombasa Hospital where he was admitted to the ICU. The boy is in stable condition.

Osman later surrendered himself at Kilifi Police Station, where he was detained and his Glock pistol was confiscated with 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Osman, who was in January this arraigned in court for allegedly defiling three girls in his palatial Kikambala residence, is set to be paraded in court on Monday.

I am sure he’ll pay up his way - the Kenyan way! No justice for the boy/family.

Watch this guy walk away without any charges. He’ll pay off the police and likely the family of the victim. Osman, get the check book ready. Since when does the rich, especially foreigners see prison walls in Kenya.

I support Osnan. He was being a good citizen. And he can argue self-defense.

If a Kenyan did what this thug has done-child rape and attempted murder in Turkey, he would have been hanged by now according to their "sharia law". Kwani tires zimeisha?

Are we allowed guns in Kenya? Didn't think we were unless one is a thug or Police. Looks like he started off with good intention of dispersing the boys, then....God knows! We were not there. Kenya is not what it used to be. Kilifi and coastal towns were the most peaceful back in the day. I am shocked to hear of gang like youth going at each other!

Kenyans are second class citizens according to the books of our leaders. that's why foreigners come and do what ever they want to do to this group of Kenyans.
