Kenyatta University Student Arrested for Cohabiting with 15-year-old School Girl

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a 20-year-old university student for allegedly cohabiting with a minor.

It is said that the Kenyatta University student identified as Peter Wanjohi had lived with the 15-year-old girl for one week before she was rescued by Ruiru-based DCI detectives on Sunday.

The two were found in Wanjohi’s house in Gitambaya, Kiambu County, and were handed over to Kagio police station for further action.

The teenager was reported missing from her parents’ home in Kagio, Kirinyaga County a week ago.

“Her distraught parents had received a shocking text message from her that she would be in a holiday camp for a month,” the DCI said.

“Our detectives are ready to swing into action, should any Kenyan file a missing child’s report or any other such matter that requires our urgent attention.”
