Police Officer Reportedly Pushes Girlfriend Off Fourth-Floor Apartment in Nairobi

Detectives are searching for a police officer accused of shoving his girlfriend off a balcony of their fourth-floor apartment in Nairobi.

The policeman attached to Kasarani Police Station is said to have had an argument with his girlfriend on Friday night before she fell off the balcony at an apartment in Ngumba area in Nairobi’s Kasarani estate.

Neighbors who responded after hearing a loud bang said the officer threatened them with a firearm before taking off.

The woman fell on a vehicle parked outside the apartment and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Confirming the incident, Kasarani sub-county Commander Peter Mwanzo said officers are in hot pursuit of the suspect whose identity is yet to be revealed.

“The woman fell from the balcony and we are yet to establish whether she jumped herself or she was pushed off,” said Mwanzo.
