Singer Akothee Ties the Knot with Her Mzungu Boyfriend in Nairobi

Singer Esther Akoth, alias Akothee, finally said I do to her Swiss fiancé Denis Schweizer, aka Omosh.

The lovebirds tied the knot at an exquisite garden wedding held at the Windsor Golf and Country Club in Nairobi on Monday.

Akothee wore her highly publicized Sh700,000 white gown while her husband wore a white Achkan also known as Sherwani.

The invite-only wedding was attended by some of the biggest names in Kenyan politics, media and entertainment among them Ida Odinga, Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa, MP Millicent Odhiambo, Jalang’o, Lupita Nyong’os mother Dorothy, nominated senator Karen Nyamu, Lillian Muli, Janet Mbugua, Alex Mwakideu, comedian Njugush, and PLO Lumumba.
 
The white-themed event saw guests come out rocking elegant attires with a touch of gold, with clear instructions not to wear white.

The bride left Boma Hotel where she stayed for the night with her bridal team and was shuttled to Windsor via a convertible car. 

At the venue, Akothee graced the event using a chariot while the bridegroom rode on a horse.

The wedding was held on Akothee’s 40th birthday.
