Kenyans in living in the diaspora have called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to end the stalemate surrounding the repeat presidential election, by engaging both Jubilee and opposition National Super Alliance in a dialogue.
Kenya Diaspora Alliance Chairman, former Rangwe MP Shem Ochuodho said that Kenyans living abroad were concerned with the current situation in the country and hence the need to end it.
Ochuodho also expressed concerns that the could put in jeopardy the repeat poll scheduled for October 26th.
NASA has set a number of demands for their candidate Raila Odinga to contest against Uhuru Kenyatta (Jubilee Party).
The Opposition has demanded for the reconstitution of IEBC secretariat by firing CEO Ezra Chiloba and 11 other officials, while President Uhuru's Jubilee had proposed amendments on electoral laws.
Ochuodho also noted the uncertainty is impacting negatively on the economy, which is hurting businessmen.
“Trade cannot go on smoothly in a country whose business trends cannot be understood especially because of political uncertainty.”
“It' s only they who can save the country. We appeal to both parties to put Kenya's interests ahead of everything.”
“The hard line stances are detrimental to the election environment and the country’s unity,” he added, and urged IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati to meet Uhuru and Raila.
“Politicians should know the deadlock they have subjected the county to is economically dangerous.”

When you meet with your friends and decide to form an association please speak for them. You do not represent me by no means neither my wife or kids.. talk for your self and stop this " Kenyans in diaspora" please mention only your friends
Who elected Ochudho to speak for me?Elections must be held whether Tribim/Tialala/cannibal Raila wants it or will participate or not.Kenya does not belong to him.
This Luo group must desist from claiming to represent Diaspora. Majority of Diaspora disagrees with this group. It is an offense when they continually claim to represent Kenya Diaspora. More appropriate to call themselves NASA Diaspora and no one will argue with that.
A disclaimer is warranted and it goes like this, " My friends (please name them by name cos some may not even agree with you) and I in Diaspora have decided... Then continue with your nonsensical statements. Give everyone a break for Chrissake!
Unsolicited advice is criticism in disguise. The season is here when every nobody becomes a knowbody and takes 15 minutes of fame to "fix" everything. What Kenya needs now is a people who can listen, restrain, contemplate and think beyond the today's wisdom of noise that will be future's stinking parody.
Before DESTRUCTION goes Pride. And the Pride of Rigging in Kenya Continues. Lord have Mercy!
