A Kenyan group in the diaspora allied to the National Super Alliance (Nasa) will be sending a delegation attend the inauguration of opposition leader Raila Odinga set for Tuesday.
The chairman of Nasa supporters in the United Kingdom, Kivindyo Ndivo told the Sunday Standard that a team will travel to Kenya to represent the group during the fete, where Odinga and Kalonzo will take oath as the people's president and deputy people's president respectively.
"The team will leave London in the morning (Sunday) for the Tuesday 30th of January event, they will be carrying our blessings," he stated.
The group's vice chair, George Osore said the group will attend the ceremony in solidarity with the rest of the opposition supporters in the country.
"We want to be part of this historical event, Kenya was about to become the first country in Africa to exercise this rare human right of self-determination which is unheard of in the developing world," he explained.
Nasa-UK People's Assembly Speaker Denis Otingo said the group fully supports the opposition's push against electoral injustice and impunity.
“By swearing in NASA leader and his deputy, hopefully the government will bow down to the pressure for genuine electoral reforms leading to a free and fair election,” said Otingo.

“By swearing in NASA leader and his deputy, hopefully the government will bow down to the pressure for genuine electoral reforms leading to a free and fair election,” said Otingo...... Keep on hallucinating; it's free!!!
On a related matter, Mwakilishi must STOP misusing the term "Diaspora" which means ALL Kenyans living outside Kenya. This term is often misused when one or two loud mouths call the Nation or The Standard to make ridiculous claims to seek cheap publicity. Why should the opinion of one or two individuals be reported as Diaspora decision??? Quite frankly, Mwakilishi needs to stop insulting the intelligence of hard working God fearing Kenyans in Diaspora by unfairly lumping them with one or two misguided loud mouths foolishly seeking self gratification for all wrong reasons. Personally. I find such gross mental laziness of referring one or two individuals as Diaspora this or that to be grotesque and nauseating. STOP IT!!!!
Write your wills before you go to Kenya. You may not return to the UK alive.
Ati historic ....ha ha haa stupid people.
They have also volunteered to die dreaming that their death will instal muuaji Raila/their tribe as president of Kenya.I hope the police bullets woun't miss them when the join other NRM looters in Nairobi Steets.Muuaji Raila atahudhulia mathisi yenu wajinga alafu musahaulike.
Otingo, if you are genuinely concerned about the electoral process in Kenya, why are you in the Diaspora. Go back to Kenya and for 'reforms' as you are alleging. Otherwise, you are just blowing hot air from your comfort suite in the UK and pretending to be involved in electoral reforms in Kenya. If RAO wants to be president, tell him to win the elections as required by the Kenyan constitution. Being sworn in as the 'people's president' without being voted by the majority is a treasonable offense. We do not want him, he is just a sore loser and trouble maker!
