@Mkenyahalisi, it's never that serious boss. Live a little and see humor in most things. I just got back from Kenya two weeks ago after a couple of months stay and I will be back again in May-June. I saw the benefits of Kenya many moons ago and jumped on it, way before you did. I come to your club on occasion and know lots of those ex diaspora guys. Just so you know, my favorite wait person at your club is Wairimu - tee hee. I am back and forth a lot because I have a very sweet gig here which can be done from anywhere in the world as long as I have internet access.
As for helping those guys whose luck ran out, that is one complicated issue. What exactly is the reason that they were deported? Do they really need help? Jobs and capital in Kenya are quite scarce. They will be competing with many many people. In my case, the only assistance I probably could provide is a job in a mjengo. I cannot imagine an ex diaspora person being humble enough to take such a job....do these guys have relatives that can cushion them? That said, I couldn't imagine having to start over in Kenya. Two people I know that were deported because of alcoholism related crimes have had their lives spiral out of control in Kenya. One actually just hangs around a matatu terminus after living here for almost 20 years. Sometimes, one would like to help but coming up with an assistance plan is a very complicated issue. I really wish them well though..

Nothing we can do, they have tried to go and look for a fortune ,is not like miguna miguna so called, who think he own or can control kenya follow the law ,fill the immigration papers,give your passport for a stump ,get the visa if needed then be free ,lakini stupid man you think you know,you a loser ,,wait,,

This is great lesson for the once left in the US and elsewhere.Kenya is your home and it will always be your home,stop sticking your head in the sand pretending that this may never happen to you because you are good boy there and following the law,you might be the one being told Karibu nyumbani next time around.its never late to start investing home for tomorrow,and by tomorrow it may mean in all kinds of ways,you might be here through this kind of a situation,in a box or you have aged and can’t work anymore.its just a thought.💭

*Life in a foreign land can be fickle. Have a plan B in your country of origin, just in case. Read people's comments with an open mind and sniff out the best advice.

*Investing can be done in doses. Put money down on an asset or build an asset now, and benefit from it's long term growth. Alternatively, learn some skills you can transfer.

*Keep working/fine tuning on your "return home plans", even though circumstances force you to make adjustments every so often. Growing children are on example of circumstances that force change of plans.

My situation is not dire and so I am not at any risk. However I don't fathom the idea of growing old in +1, so I am doing my best to prepare my return to 254. If I left today, I would not lack an abode or some income.

What happens to the deportee families... children and/or spouse?... child support issues etc?

When one is picked up and is finally deported... can he or she access their bank accounts?

What happens to all their stuff... household furniture, electronics, clothes, car etc?

In a situation that one had a mortgage... or was renting... or had a car payment etc... what happens?

Is all your money and properties confiscated by the State coz they deem that you earned them illegally by virtue of being in the US illegally?

We all maybe aware of the actual deportation of an individual... but we have no idea of the way that individual is affected more than the forced relocation.

most black people in america endure a life of indignity. even when you achieve the proverbial american dream and move into an upscale neighborhood mostly populated by whites you will still be made to feel unwelcome. So why insist on living here where you always treated like a scourge to society. Best to work on an exit strategy early because continuing to live here will negatively impact your mental health and sociological well being.
