A family in Dallas, Texas believes their elderly aunt was murdered by Billy Chemirmir, a 45-year-old Kenyan suspected of being a serial killer and already charged in the murder of another woman in Texas.
The family of Catherine Probst, who was 88 when she died in April, 2016, say they now have to believed that her death was not natural as reported by the medical examiner. The medical examiner’s office conducted an autopsy and ruled her death was natural, but is now reviewing the case and may change the death to be as a result of murder.
Catherine passed away at the Edgemere Retirement Community in Dallas. Chemirmir was arrested of criminal trespassing at the same retirement community in April, 2016, around the same time Catherine died, giving her family reason to believe she could have been one of his victims.
Catherine’s family says they noticed that some of her belongings were missing. Additionally, they say they noticed blood on her bed. “We knew she had loose jewels. We know she had gold coins. We don't have the inventory of all that,” Jane Fold, Catherine’s niece told WFAA.
Authorities are investigating Chemirmir, who worked as a nursing aide, for at least nine murders of elderly women in the Dallas area.
Chemirmir is currently charged with capital murder in the death of 81-year-old Lu Thi Harris. He was arrested on March 20th as police were surveilling him on suspected jewelry theft. Police said they saw him throwing away a jewelry box in a dumpster outside his apartment complex, and found Lu Thi Harris’s name on the box. On going to the woman’s apartment, they found her dead of apparent suffocation.
He is being held in Dallas County jail on $1 million bail.

Kama umeguzwa, please go ahead! You be the 1st to organize something rather than being accusatory.
Organize what? Maombi? A protest?
You don't expect people to appreciate this guy for supposedly murdering tushosho. Some problems, only your family can bail/help you out.
@What's up, looking at a different angle of the story. Raising money for him will be enabling him to commit more murders if he is a serial killer.
This is the Kind of Guy who would Spare Nobody during Kenya Land Clashes in the Rift Valley. Na ni Kuruka Waya Alikruka kuingia huko US ama Vipi?
Did l read correctly? Ati we gofundme for someone suspected of being a serial killer the same way we do for deceased people? 🤷♀️. Uko sawa wewe?
I knew him. He worked for our company under a false name. I know all sorts of details to prove he’s guilty.
If you have information you are obliged to report it. Call police hotline on this case 972-941-5785
Jan, I am mourning the loss {again} of my Aunt Catherine (today is the two year anniversary of her death). In addition, we are in contact with two other families who may very well been affected by this man's actions. Please contact me at the above email or call Dallas Police Homicide detective @214-671-3605(detective Tabor). You nay have information that we don't have to put this to an end. Thank you.
I hope they don't find any more of these criminal acts. But American detectives never leave any stone unturned. You can live undocumented life for decades as long as you do not engage in criminal activities. Our brother will need a good private attorney, although he will surely be provided one by the state. If the going gets tough, its advisable you look for an alternative to make quick money, or an exit, but with a messed up criminal history, life becomes unbearable.
Well here is a kenyan, Accused of "murder" am not saying he is or not guilty however am here asking this, if this guy died in the USA am sure we could be seeing a gofund raise account going on,however he is in jail due to lack of bond. Why is it that we appreciate people when they die and not when alive? Is there no one that knew this guy and can organize something?, I don't condone what he is accused of however I urge we be see his situation in a different angle
