US-Based Scholar Makau Mutua Opens a Multi-Million Shilling Villa Hotel in Kenya
US-based Kenyan scholar Prof Makau Mutua has opened a multi-million shilling Villa Hotel in Kitui town.
The opening of the high-end Kitui Villa Hotel was graced by opposition leader Raila Odinga, his wife Ida, Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu among other leaders.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Raila urged Kenyans in the diaspora to invest back home. "Mama Ida Odinga and I were joined by wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka at the launch of Kitui Villa which is owned by Law professor Makau Mutua. I would like to appeal to Kenyans in the diaspora to invest in counties," Raila tweeted.
Kitui Villa Hotel will house a 10-bed capacity lodge, a restaurant, and a bar among other facilities.
Mutua, who lives in New York, is a former Dean of the University at Buffalo Law School.

Mutua, now I know and understand why you were doing doubles. Or did you get the money from the civil Rights activism you did last year?Now that you have a wonderful villa, you can now stand for governor like the rest of them and fleece these Kenyans. You see Alfred Mutua's seat is open. You can now map out with Kalonzo/kaloozer who has done absolutely nothing for his people on how you fight development conscious Mutua. Well, at least he has built a park, you may Google it if you want.

What I tend to think when I see this is reflect upon my own productivity. What have I done to shine alongside such comrades? Nothing compared to this, so I have nothing, but admiration for such people and I remain humbled by such minds/achievements. REFLECT!
