Azimio Diaspora Joins Signature Collection Drive to Oust Ruto

Azimio supporters in the diaspora have pledged to collect 100,000 signatures from eligible Kenyan voters in order to reach the goal of 10 million signatures to delegitimize President William Ruto's government.

During demonstrations at the Kenyan High Commission in London on July 19, Kenyans living in the UK denounced the police brutality and the killing of innocent protesters. The Azimio supporters living in the UK, Europe, and America have called on the international community to address human rights abuses, killings, and arbitrary arrests of Kenyans. The UK Azimio leaders, led by Chairman Maina Gatangi, stated that they are one of the largest voting blocks in the diaspora with over 300,000 Kenyans and almost one-third registered as voters.

Gatangi insisted that the UK and Europe alone can provide 100,000 verifiable online signatures. He argued that Kenyans have the right to claim their sovereignty since their elected leaders have been captured by the Executive. He emphasised that popular sovereignty is a political doctrine where all people have the right to participate in government. Gatangi also cited examples of countries where mass action has led to leaders being ousted including Bolivia (2000), Algeria (2021), Lebanon (2019), Iraq (2003), and Sudan (2019).

According to the UK CEO and Chief Coordinator of the Azimio Diaspora Campaign, Ali Ali, President Ruto has failed to fulfil most of his election promises to the Kenyan people. Ali believes that the removal of subsidies that had previously helped Kenyans cope with the high cost of living is a form of dishonesty that should not go unpunished.

The Azimio UK leaders have pledged to mobilize Kenyans living abroad to sign the petition and support protests against Ruto's regime. Thomas Musau, the organization's press secretary, has accused President Ruto's administration of using violence against unarmed civilians who are peacefully demonstrating against the government's punitive taxes and high cost of living.

People of diaspora do yourself a favor. Check prices in your neighborhood and compare to your last 3years. Why would a so smart diasporan waste their time signing s,,,, like they can't see how hard life has gotten in the country they live in. USA are blaming Biden, France macron, Kenya Ruto etc but in reality world is singing the same tune hence use your Google search and your head wisely Mr and Mrs diasporan unless you are connected to the elites and your aunt is to create confusion among the less informed.

@Hingūria Maitho, Jaluos have no capacity to critically think individually, it’s a cult of sheep singing Meee Meee in unison and following the cult leader!

Yah, the cost of living hardships is worldwide due to the aftermath of COVID and the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by Russia!

In fact, in US for example, inflation was upwards of 9% just months ago, everything was getting pretty expensive! But the Feds took aggressive measures, of quantitative easing, and rapid interest rates hikes to fed off inflation! These measures didn’t come without pain but necessary for Feds to bring down inflation to a targeted level of 2%! In their latest reporting, inflation has crashed to around 4%, and we expect to learn where it stands this when FOMC meets this week, and still expecting a 25 basis points hike!

Besides the partisan political blame game, you haven’t seen people on the streets destroying their country! The people understand that COVID measures to keep the economy from collapsing, had to come to a head after the COVID crisis!!

There is no gain without pain and that’s exactly what president Ruto is doing, there must be a period of pain for long term gain!!!

It’s such a disturbing thing to see people who are universally calling this movement a diaspora movement. Be advised that no disporians would want to do such a stupid thing like sigh signatures to remove a seating president. Don’t you know the constitution ? The law does not care your signatures Raila let your people vote for you and stop disrupting the nation. Not all diasporians are in support of this nonsense.

Bwana Gatangi, why don't you tell us which president fuflfiled most of his election promises in less than one year in office. May be that would help us understand exactly the point you're making. Why don't you have courage to tell us the truth, that Raila wants to stage a coup in Kenya? As per our constitution, the Supreme Court of Kenya is the final arbitor in all matters legal in the country. The supreme court handed down a unanimous ruling in the dispute regarding who is the 5th preident of Kenya. Those who missed that memo are still talking to themselves. We have a country to build and no time for violent street dramas.

Well you have a couple of choices, either suck your d!ck or hang yourself! Those are the easiest choices pal!!! You can scream all you want but we have one president at a time! Too bad for you Bwana Jaluo, today it happens to be NOT that old senile violent Jaluo narcissist! The only thing waiting for the perennial loser is a grave!!!

I didn’t think that in diaspora there were idlers. Number one what would having signatures achieve? How can it even be verified ? And who decrees it?
Of course we know Raila has his following. And that doesn’t mean all Kenyans agree either with his policies or the way he approaches issues. That’s the larger percentage of Kenyans.

If you pay attention to Rao long enough you will realize he will be doing something new every few months to stay on the news and lips of pp. Like a rocking chair that plays but doesn't take you anywhere.
