Babu Owino, who recently had his election as Embakasi East Member of Parliament nullified by the High Court, says that they are friends with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
Speaking during an interview with NASA online TV on Monday, Owino criticised Kenyans for hating each other because of ethnic and political differences.
Babu said that it was unfortunate that Kenyans act in that manner, when the politicians they fight and hate each other for are friends and business partners.
The former University of Nairobi student leader further noted that, contrary to believe of many that he and Kuria are enemies, he has good relationship with him. Babu said he even carries Kuria home when he finds him "in a bar very drunk."
"Politicians are never that tribal. When we are in parliament we talk well (to each other). Moses Kuria at times I find him in a bar very drunk. I am the one who carries him and takes him to his house," Babu said.
"I carry him with my security, I take him to his house in Westlands. I have done that. Let him deny that in public. We as politicians don't hate each other," Owino said.

Childish talk Babu. Why malign someone who is not there to defend himself. Are you implying Kuria has no security detail to take charge of him? Nonsense.
Absolute rubbish from Babu. You are trying to embarrass Kuria evidently. That is why you are saying “let him come in public and deny that”.
You are the one who is being childish and talking rubbish. Babu is being honest that ordinary Kenyans fight and kill each for these politicians who are good baddies in private. We Kenyans should learn from what Babu is saying. Why do you feel so offended that Babu has said that Kuria gets drunk? It's being paranoid to attack anyone who mentions something negative about your fellow Kikuyus even without checking the content. There's nowhere in the interview does Babu attack Kuria. He did not even mention any tribe. He just expressed his disappointment that ordinary people fight each other because of politicians.
The level of immaturity is unbelievable and to know you have to pay taxes so these honorables can be paid is rather infuriating. If this is what democracy is ikae, sitaki, bure kabisa.
we elect them.what does that say about us?by the wsy there is a reason why these representatives should pass integrity test.ihave cases where muheshimiwa goes to hunt for malaya at the same"karumaindo" joe-six-pack goes to do same
@Maxiley. Umesema kweli. " ...there is a reason why these representatives should pass integrity test..." As long as we have incompetent and compromised Wafula Chebukati still heading the IEBC, Kenya will continue electing irresponsible and immoral people as our future leaders.
Our job now is to dismantle the entire criminal IEBC. This joint was able to clear candidates with a questionable past with skeletons full in their closets to run for an elective public office.
How were people such as Raila, Ruto, Uhuru, Waiguru, Joho, Sonko, Wetangula clearered to run in the last election? There is no way that the above people could pass the integrity test!
Kuria and Uhuru, please stop this song of hatred between the peace loving members of the Kamba and Gikuyu communities sang by a member of the Gikuyu micro nation called Isaiah.
It's called freedom of speech and expression, the one you spend time here yapping about. You can not have your cake and eat it too, make up your mind. When you are given a reality check please refrain from resulting to "tuheshimiane" while accusing others of having "warthog memories". Again make up your mind where you stand, and stand firm, the song states it clear.
@Mugikuyu, I hear you loud and clear. What I don't like is when your friend Uhuru arrests people for expressing themselves freely. I did not say that the singer of Ikamba should spend the weekend in a police station the way your friend does to his opponents. He should also have spent a weekend in a police station for insulting our chief justice.
Magara should have told us who killed Msado and juma. Next time you ask that question ask it to Magara. Also he should look into Toroitich and all the properties he stole and people he killed. That Magara man is just sitting in his office picking his nose perhaps eating boogers and scratching his you know what.
@Imara the last time I checked, Uhuru was head of executive branch and Magara was in Judiciary. If innocent people have been thrown in jail Magara should tell us why and also explain why Uhuru has not been accused of whatever crimes he's been alleged to have committed. Why is public money being siphoned all over the place? Where is Magara and what is he doing besides politicking and playing victim? He is the head of the most corrupt branch yet.
Is this what our elected public servants of the people do? No wonder Kenya is in such a sad and sorry state of affairs!
No wonder they want they salaries increased so that they can have extra cash to support their alcoholic bad habits.
