President Uhuru Kenyatta has received a major boost ahead of the august 8 polls after the Frontier Alliance Party (FAP) endorsed his reelection bid.

Governor Yattani disclosed that FAP will field candidates for all other elective posts but will route for president Uhuru’s presidential candidature.
“The special National Delegates Conference resolved that the party (Frontier Alliance Party) will not field a Presidential candidate but will instead support the candidature of H.E. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, the President of the Republic of Kenya and the presidential candidate for the Jubilee Party in the forthcoming general election,” the resolution read in part.
Governor Yattani said that Uhuru’s candidature was the only that had the interests of FAP party. “We have decided to support President Kenyatta because we are confident that it is only by working with him that we will achieve our development aspirations,” the FAP leader said.
The Governor cited some development projects undertaken by the Jubilee administration in Northern Kenya region, especially the Isiolo – Moyale road as some of the reasons the party endorsed Uhuru.
President Kenyatta welcomed the endorsement lauding communities in the North Eastern for coming together to foster peace and cohesion.
“Peace and unity are key to the country’s development and progress,” President Kenyatta said.
