Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been handed a political lifeline after the anti-graft agency, Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) revealed that it has closed the file of a case in which the body was probing Joho’s KCSE exam certificate case.
An EACC detective who spoke to the Star on conditions of anonymity revealed that the commission move to close the file was arrived at after the responses they got from Joho’s former schools satisfied them.
“The response the body [EACC] got from the Tom Mboya Primary School head teacher was satisfactory and added up. Same to Serani Secondary School,” the detective said.
The anti-graft body was investigating Joho over claims that he had forged a 1993 KCSE exam certificate so that he could secure an admission at the University of Nairobi.
In a ruling last Wednesday, Justice Chacha Mwita rejected a renewed attempt to have Joho barred from being cleared by IEBC to contest in August 8 elections.

Why not mind your business. Satan's agents like u who are there to fix others will fail miserably.
This is pure nonsense.. Who cleared Joho.. Director of EACC?? Director of Education???? or the Courts. Every person must have authentic academic certificates; as per the constitution of Kenya, to qualify for certain leadership positions; Kenyans must learn to respect our own laws and not interpret and apply them selectively just because Raila or Uhuru wants or supports or opposes. Kenya is not Raila or Uhuru.. We have set Standards and we must live by them… Kampala Certificate Issue rose before this Uhuru/Joho propaganda. He has submitted that he went to High school in 1992. If he wants us to use his 1993 resultants then he must prove that he qualified to go to University.. Which papers did he personally" not via proxy submit.. Which Thesis did he write and submit as his dissertation? How many hours of tangible class attendance invest in these presumptive degree??/..
Back in March, KNEC came out and stated that Joho did not register or sit for KCSE and the centre code for the high school on his certificate was not accurate.
Now EACC wants us to believe a headmaster over KNEC???
