Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna on Saturday unveiled James Karihe, a 24-year-old former Laikipia University student leader as his running mate.
Miguna, who is running as an independent candidate, says the move to choose the young man as his running mate was informed by the need to inject youth blood into the city leadership.
He says that the youth who comprised majority of the voters have been neglected and forgotten by the current regime adding that it was their time now under his stewardship
“Kenyans have functioning brains. They can tell the difference a transformative leadership and one based on impunity. And we are not afraid of anybody. They can come with any money they have stolen and we will deal with them,” said Miguna.
“Independent candidates are not going to beg anyone to run. We are occupying a space guaranteed by the constitution,” said Miguna.
Miguna, a former to Raila Odinga, will be facing incumbent Nairobi governor Evans Kidero of ODM and Jubilee’s Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
I have listened to Miguna Miguna and I think he has the recipe to fix Nairobi. Only problem may be his state of mind. He rattles.
