National Super Alliance (NASA) has threatened to boycott the August 8 general elections if an appeal lodged by electoral body, IEBC goes through.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission wants the appeal court to reverse a decision by the high court stating that election results be announced at the constituency level be the final results.
The commission has anchored the appeal on a constitutional provision that states that the Chairman of the Commission has the mandate to declare Presidential elections winner.
"We will not allow IEBC to tamper with the court ruling on the tallying issues. If they will, let them know that no elections will be held," NASA coalition flag bearer Raila Odinga said in a rally in Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium on Sunday.
NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka echoed Odinga’s sentiments adding that the electoral body must withdraw the appeal and follow the earlier ruling. “If the appeal goes through, will you be ready to protest? We will have protests in Nakuru, Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu and all over Kenya,” Kalonzo said.
"We know it's their duty to declare winners. We have no problem with that. But why is he (IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati) saying results must be announced at Bomas of Kenya?" Kalonzo asked.
Machakos senator, Johnstone Muthama said that NASA will not accept rigged elections daring the government to arrest him. "I want to tell (Interior CS) Joseph Nkaissery that he should not oversee a stolen election. As Kenyans, we will not accept."
The NASA leaders attacked the Jubilee administration, saying it has terribly failed to lead Kenya in the right direction.
"We want to stabilize the economy; we want to give our youth jobs," Mudavadi said.
“A government that commits economic crimes on its people does not deserve to be called a government,” Wetangula said.

The fact that NASA leaders are even threatening to boycott the elections. Is further evidence that they are not serious about Peace and Stability in Kenya. They want to use chaos, and the resultant deaths of innocent Kenyans that chaos causes in Kenya ,to further their selfish political agendas. I do not know how the appeal court judges are going to decide on this issue. However the ordinary mwananchi should not forgive these Nasa Leaders for engaging in these chaotic shenanigans. The ordinary mwananchi should be further motivated to vote resoundingly for the Jubilee Party. And deliver resounding defeat to these Nasa's Moronic leaders.
Barking dogs that don't bite. It's the fear of a loser. Rigging holes must be sealed.
Boycott but don't dare to restrain me from voting.La sivyo,MUTAHESABU MAITI KADHAA.
