National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have vowed to cancel multi-billion-shilling contracts signed by the Jubilee administration with foreign countries if they win the August 8 elections.
“Where such contracts are found to have been fraught with fraud and corruption, we shall not hesitate to abrogate them,” Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula who was addressing a rally at Gusii Stadium on Wednesday said.
He added, “Globally, constructing a kilometer of a railway is $3 million. From Nairobi to Malaba is 500 kilometers. That will only cost Sh150 billion,” the Bungoma senator said.
“They have requested Sh370 billion. It is clear that the difference of Sh220 billion will end up in the pockets of some people,” ne continued.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, in his trip to China this week secured an additional Sh370 billion in loans that will be used to extend the standard gauge railway third face from Naivasha to lakeside city of Kisumu. But Wetang’ula, says the amount requested was a lot and will be looted to benefit top government officials instead of Kenyans.
The leaders led by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC chief Musalia Mudavadi and Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto poked holes on the recent move by the Jubilee government to import maize from foreign countries.
“Farmers, for a long time, requested the Jubilee government to increase the price of a 90kg bag of maize. The government refused, insisting it did not have cash. Where has this money suddenly come from?” said Musalia Mudavadi.
“Jubilee is looting from Kenyans. We should not allow them to continue leading this country for they have failed to keep their promises,” Raila Odinga noted.
Actually.Kenyans should never allow these Nasa Hyenas to lead the country. In fact, the best course for the country is to stick with UHURUTO and the Jubilee Party.
