Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo on Wednesday implied that supernatural powers may have contributed to his loss to Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu in the April Jubilee Party nominations.
In a media interview, the Kiambu County boss mentioned a witch-doctor who had been ferried from South Sudan by politicians to help them win seats during the primaries.
“Kiambu is among the counties the witch-doctor has gone to and all his clients have won their different primaries, “ Kabogo revealed.
The Governor denied that he had consulted the services of a witch-doctor like his opponents.
Kabogo said he is deeply religious saying that he would never seek leadership through such demonic avenues.
The Council of Governors’ chief whip accused Waititu of thriving on propaganda rather than a development record.
Kabogo, who ditched Jubilee after losing the nomination ticket to Waititu, dismissed the primaries as shambolic and will face Waititu again in the August 8 polls, this time as an independent candidate.
