Former Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott Dies in Nairobi

Former Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott is dead. The 77-year-old veteran politician passed away on Tuesday at around 11 am after being admitted at Nairobi hospital following a long illness.

A member of the family said that his body has been moved to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi, but did not disclose the cause of his death.

Biwott served as a Member of Parliament for Keiyo-Marakwet and later the Keiyo South Constituency for a period of 28 years.

He headed several ministerial and government posts in the KANU government under all the first three presidents, Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki. Ministry of Agriculture, Finance, Home Affairs and East Africa Corperation are some of the ministries he headed.

Biwott was a close confidant of former president Daniel Arap Moi during his tenure.

Sorry to say that if he'll exist some so called politicians will go straight there as the Jewish book tell us.Why not celebrate when such pple dies coz of the pain they have caused millions of kenyans.Am waiting to see if he will b buried with all the monies he stole.When the one we know is gone too Kenya will celebrate too coz of 82,07/08 killings.Ngai wa kirinyaga thengiu nigutwehereria mathina at maya!!!

People forget so fast.....when i was growing up everyone was agaibst nysyo and his hench men due to suffering they put Kenyans in.Joblessness,no health services,insecurity, detention without trial,torture in nyayo house,high efucation cost from nursery onwards....corruption of high order in gavament...collapse of farming as backbone of economy....collapse of parastatals ..name it.........and mind you all this happened in eyes of few powerfull men...who were blind to all hell
