Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Monday visited National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill office in Upper Hill, Nairobi.
Speaking to a local media after the meeting, Kuria said he discussed issues touching in national unity with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader.
"It's time to unite this country. We met to discuss how we can best bring Kenyans together," Kuria stated.
The controversial MP, who has been a fierce critic of Odinga in the past, further stated that the meeting had nothing to do with Nasa or Jubilee politics.
"I want you to know this is in no way about Jubilee and Nasa, we want to have all Kenyans on board including those who don't have a party," he affirmed.
Their meeting comes barely two weeks after the Opposition leader and President Uhuru buried the hatchet and pledged to work together in uniting the country.
"This morning I paid a courtesy call on Rt Hon Raila Odinga. We explored various options towards building a more cohesive and inclusive nation," Moses Kuria said in a post on Facebook.
On Sunday, Kenyatta invited Odinga to the Barclays Bank tournament held at the Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi. The two watch this year's edition of the Barclays Open.
"It was nice watching the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open but I think I'll stick to watching the Mighty Gor Mahia," Raila tweeted on Sunday.
I see Kenyan politician like animals in the zoo. We citizens are their keepers but they keep us on our toes and we have to feed them and take care of all their needs. We also have to watch all their antics. God help us.
