Former powerful Kenyan cabinet minister Simeon Nyachae has been flown to South Africa after suffering a stroke.
The 86-year-old former Ford People leader had been admitted at Nairobi hospital over the last one week after tripping and failing at home and suffered stroke while in the hospital, said a family source.
The Star reports that he suffered stroke at around 1pm and was transferred to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before being flown to South Africa for specialized treatment.

Wapi wale jamaa who have no shame describing looting/corruption,yaani outright theft of public resources etc as CAPITALISM?All these thugs plus their families should face the firing squad. There is an earlier story of land grabbing by expired Kenyatta & Co which can only be solved the same CRUDE punishment,FIRING SQUAD WITHOUT MERCY.
Simon Nyachae was a Tribal Kisii king (who Couldn't Stand other Tribes owning Business in Kisii Town).
Blame yourself for not benefitting from the regime.......you can also visit TJRC commission and launch your allegation.
Not in any way making light of his predicament but how much wealth is enough? WSR and other government officials are currently on a looting spree. Look at the grief the Kenyatta family has been through because of owning way too much around the country. We have to start learning that you can live a very fulfilling life without grabbing every piece of public resource you can lay your hands on...Look at how much Mobutu, Marcos, Milosevic, Boris Berizovsky accumulated and how sadly their lives ended. Don't get me started with the mess Karume, Kirima and Noah Arap Too have left behind.
A former cabinet can not be treated in kenya, why does he have to be flown, kama ni kufa let him die here, he and other government officials just enriched themselves and dis not care of common mwananchi. I would care less if he succumbs to the stroke however if not he will pay dearly living with stroke and all those medical care. Let this be lessons to the others kama is real, take your chances well
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Its strange how God. Even years after Moi's plunderers were forgiven and forgotten by Kenyans, He is unleashing his venom to all those who caused so much pain and anguish. It beats all logics when you have to die slowly yet your stolen wealth doesn't save you or even stop God's sword from falling on you. Just rewind your memory and remember how greedy Kanu goons perished or are perishing and eaten slowly by painful ailments as their bank accounts and large tracts of grabbed public land watches with a smile as their masters cry for their help. Remember ex-PC Eliud Mahihu, ex-PC Ezekiel Oyugi, ex-PC Yusuf Haji, ex-PC David Musila, ex-PC Isaiah Mathenge, ex-PC ,Lotondo, Nicholus Biwott, Noah arap Too, Gideon Moi, Jonathan Moi, Phillip Moi, William Samoei Arap Ruto, Jackson Kibor, Mark Arap Too, Shariff Nassir, Kongo, Ngumo, Wanjiru Steel, Mulu Mutisya, Saitoti, Kihika Kimani, ex-PC Chepkwony, G.G Kariuki,Bargetuny, William Ntimama, Oloitiptip, Charles Njonjo, Mbiu Koinange, Kanyingi, and others who are now languishing in their palaces. And they think Kenyans have forgotten all what they did. Kenyans have short memories but they keep their pain within themselves and let God judge them. Take a look at Moi and Nyachae! I hope current leaders are learning something from them, although I don't think so. Nobody want to help alleviate poverty that has become the norm or a way of life in Kenya. Instead of addressing key issues, these idiots are selfishly talking about how to increase their salaries, marrying many wives, 2022, foreign trips....
Not to deny that Kenyans have been short-changed by majority of their leaders...I too feel the same, but guys, sickness and/or death is not a punishment for what we have or have not done. We all have, or will go through the same at one time or the other.
Look around and see 'good', very good people suffer with disease and death. Old age, for the likes of Nyachae and Moi is a big factor...and hey, God is not a respecter of persons.
Live and let God do His will..for His ways are wrapped in mystery....and may He give us the Grace, we really need, to live full lives.
Let this old men rest in peace instead of witchunting them
Simeon Nyachae, with his other thieves like Isaia Cheluget, Yusuf Haji, Mathenge, Kaguthi, and many other Kenyatta and Moi's PCs and DCS, are a bunch of criminals who owned land all over the republic. They abused their offices to amass questionable wealth that doesn't seem to buy good health, or prevent and protect them from the claws of diseases and death. Siku ya kiama itawapata tu.
