A newly released Infotrak opinion poll shows that 51 percent of Kenyans believe that the country is heading in the wrong direction under President Kenyatta.
The group cites the high cost of living, corruption, unemployment, and poverty as some of the reasons why they feel the country is on the wrong track.
36 percent of those interviewed are of the opinion that the country is headed in the right direction while 13 percent are not sure whether the country is headed to the wrong or right direction.
Majority of Kenyans, Infotrak CEO Angela Ambitho says, want President Kenyatta to address economic issues, corruption, and unemployment and implement good governance principles in the New Year.
Most of the respondents said they are concerned by the high cost of living (24 percent), unemployment (18 percent) and corruption (10 percent).
On President Uhuru's Big Four Agenda, 53 percent of those polled said they don't understand what it entails while 47 percent said they know what it's about.
The central region leads as far as understanding what the big four agenda is about with 61percent, followed by Nairobi (59 percent) and Nyanza (54 percent.)
Lack of awareness was the highest at the Coast (65 percent), Western (66 percent) and Rift Valley (58 percent).
1500 respondents from 24 counties were interviewed during the study carried out between November 29th and December 1st.

Kenya is for very few it is for son of so and so and loosers. those who lost in elections have been appointed ambassadors (5 members of Nyachae family have been appointed for big jobs among others . Permit us to fight with other kenyans on impunity stop stereotyping us we have nothing to do with corruption from high places, police , judiciary land office every where
Githeri is maize and Beans.
When Kalenjin maize farmers were crying foul and demanding adequate and timely compensation for their maize from NCPB, did you see any Kikuyu's supporting them?
Kikuyuz are fake mondoz.
Don't we vote every 5 years?
@ Dirty Diana. You have made your point. Now get your ass ready to stand for President come 2022, and we shall all line up behind you coz we are tired of Kyuks, Kales, walevi's prostitutes, etc. Then perhaps you will deliver us to Kanaan because, as I am sure, you possess all the qualities to make us a good leader. Will you do us that favor?
Clean Anosa😭. Dirty Diana has made her Point. You make yours point to be her Running mate in 2020 (for 2022 is too Far for a Country headed Wrong direction).😬
@Guest 1, since you are the moral authority guru do we dare make you opposition leader or you would subotage the country, call for all gays to be killed, support persecution of all non Christians?
President of Kenya???
Hahaha..... Am not trying to SAVE that country called Kenya.
Am just telling the rest of the tribes in Kenya that it is good we are on our own.
Am telling the other tribes we deserve better and when the time comes, we will form our own country.
The future is People Republic of Kenya and Central Republic of Kenya.
Why was this filtered fit for publication . am a proud Kikuyu proud cause i cannot denounce my heritage but against the way our country has been governed in recent past. the rich get richer poor poorer . Ruto's house is budgeted to be renovated with 46 million shillings . but that does not mean we kikuyus and Kalenjins are responsible .Itis my tax money therefore #Anos start thinking with your front not behind
Calm down @ Mwangi. I try to use irony and metaphor in my speech. Guess you don't see my attempt at humor and wit.
@Mwangi, if you can wipe those tears off your eyes thanks to dirty Diana, you would see the irony in that message. Let Ndaty Diana be. She has not taken her little love pill which would help her get rid of the hate.
It has come to pass that even with the goodwill of the people, the opposition and favorable international persona, the sense of accomplishment is still elusive due to runaway (or runway) corruption. There are two or more competing scenarios here; either scale down on the big four to allow time and resources to fight the "emerging" corruption and establish a better foundation or accelerate the big four with the hope that somehow it will drown corruption. Mr. President, I know you do not take advise from pedestrians; but among your advisers pick a few whose gut you trust. Allow them to tell you that maybe the government is spreading too thin. Ask them to come up with a simple philosophy (like philosopia ya Nyayo); for which the common man can ascribe to in fight against corruption. Empower and groom the wananchi on every occasion on daily basis on how they can help your govt fight corruption. Let the people understand that this war is their war, its about their future, their children and children's future. Every press briefing, public events, roadside meetings and billboards should touch on the anti-impunity, anti-corruption crusade. Let the message be so plain as prescribed in Habakkuk 2:2 "Then the LORD said to me, "Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others."
It is a high time we have a strong opposition to check the gov't, if no opposiyion always the country will lead a stray as no one to criticize hence opening the eyes of regular citizens
From, Kenyatta senior, to Kenyatta junior and the rest of the presidents in between,Kenya is still third world. When are we going to shift gears? Is something fundamentally wrong with the way we pick our leaders? If so how can we correct it?Or is the problem with the voters?
Or Should we give handshake a chance... We seem to be just floundering...politically that is.
For those 51% who are not happy, please name your candidate. You are already the majority so you should usher him/her in come 2022.
Uhuru's term is not yet over, may be we should wait and see if reshuffling his cabinet will make a difference;especially after this unflattering opinions from the pollsters.
So you 51% please let us know your candidate, and tell us how confident you are that he or she would do better that Uhuruto. Iam open to supporting any candidate majority say is bound to deliver.
For the 36% who say that Uhuru is heading the right direction, please elucidate us on what you see that 51% are missing
I agree all this people being left homeless because the houses they live in are being demolished....look at the agony in their faces
The land lords... all their sweat going down to the drains...Imagine working doubles to put up a flat like that then some selfish person of interest demolishes your apartments ...Very sad this is Kenya...My country!
lack of health care for the common mwananchi
creating loopholes in the government funding especially the form one kids going to school in Jan. The govt is paying 20k to each school even if the student does not report. soooo... there goes money that cannot be accounted for eventually....There are better ways to distribute resources/money
how come Kenyan president Uhuru kenyatta eyes are red all the time,I mean he appears to be drank all the time bwana.where Kenya heading dsurely and I feel sorry for his wife I mean the guy is alcoholic
He better consult if he has liver issue . He sometimes looks bad . He is not in a good position he is being used a joker by 2 tribes and third called Raila . He is not able to stop corruption, he has lost authority if he ever had . Kikuyus have no use of him since he will not be re - elected they are not struggling if they will be in the next government as for now running mate . we need to go for a neutral person a young person for next president France, Austria and Canada did it we need young minds not keep on insulting each other on this platform seems like some of us are paid to do that - annoy and insult
All u people(diaspora Kenyans) do is talk, diaspora has no say in direction which the country is going, u slave cleaning white assess, send ur money to Kenya only for you to visit and be robbed or scammed and you can't get no justice. Start by demonstrating those foolish education skills you acquired by withhold transfers until the government takes u seriously. If u boycott sending funds even to your family...the country will be in crisis and the people will spring and demand change, but due to that nonsense education, and your foolishness you keep sending u hard earned cash, and then complain when your children are hit hard with death taxes. They can't get what you worked hard for, be a umesaidia serekali!
Kenya🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Change? Don't hold your breath! It won't happen in your lifetime. We vote along tribal lines! We are driven by our greed and insatiable desire to be better than the next Kenyan. Uhuru na umoja applies only when we are stealing, never mind we are stealing from ourselves. We like to save face and paint a beautiful picture of Kenya but the reality is further from what anyone can possibly ever imagine. In my opinion, wakenya wako tu sawa! The day Kenya will want real change. Each and every Kenyan would have felt the brunt. Each and Every Kenyan would've felt the pain and would be sick and tired of the situation. Then will be a revolution. That's when true change will take place. Lakini hii ingine ya ati "a section" of the country is feeling like the President is steering the country in the wrong direction 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hiyo peleka chini ya godoro yako ulalie. Wale hawapendi wakikuyu anzeni kuwapenda mapema mapema. As long as they hold over 60% of registered votes, MTADU?? Ruto hata mambo yake siwezi guzia saa hii. Kikuyus won't vote for him, Period. It's not easy to forget things na other communities wanaweza kuwa mafala wa kusamehea watu ovyo ovyo, but Wasapere will never forget. Leadership under a Kalenjin ni kitu tushaonja. Now that's the real Egypt. Did I hear you say Raila- afadhali uongezee godoro ingine ulale usingizi wa pono on Election day if you were even contemplating on voting for Raila. I strongly believe he retired the day Moi retired. As someone who has met him personally on several occasions, I can candidly say- Forget Raila! You want REAL change, speak in ONE voice Kenyans! SEND ALL THESE "BURGERS" HOME.
It’s very sad own this government has put our country into a pit of loans, the Chinese are planning to take over our country, by taking over our port, right now they are the ones I charge of the SGR! They r constructing our roads, and the housing project, guys wake up and see what’s happening. China has already taken over Zambia, Sri Lanka ports to pay off their debts. And now the word has it that they Chinese may over Mombasa port! That’s what our colonizers did, if you want to control the money flow of a country control it’s ports. That’s what the Chinese goal was from the word go, our government bough into their swaying with loans and help. Our own people are unemployed.
I am sick and tired of the argument perpetrated by the likes of Diana & Victoria (Ukoloni names) that Kikuyus and kalenjins are solely responsible for the ills of Kenya. I have shouted from the rooftops that I beg to differ, that I was never handed a free ticket to anything based on my heritage. I worked my silly behind to get myself off the ghetto and not once did I have anyone hand me (nor my mother, may I add) anything free of charge because I was born a kikuyu. No SIR! So, to the Dianas' and Victoria's of this world... please stop projecting your inadequacies on the rest of us. Make a stand if you must, but quit running your mouth in the name of the kiuks and kales'...we are not all related to the Kenyatta's and Mois'. Get educated and begin by emulating one of our friends here who has rejected anything Western. Now, THAT heritage is to blame for all our divide. Got it? Please take that masters degree certificate off the mantle piece/under the mattress and make good use of it instead of parading it in your living room as a badge of your success to your less than fortunate relatives/friends then blame those with the know how when they use their knowledge/skills to good use!! Don't come for me lest I "Sokonise" you back to umena land!
Kikuyus and Kalenjin are on a mission to economically collapse the country Kenya.
That is the goal of this Jubilee government, to economically destroy Kenya.
That’s why we need secession.
