Eight Kenyans have been named in the list of 100 most reputable Africans in 2018. The list, released by Reputation Poll International, uses four parameters to rate one's reputation; governance, leadership, business, and fight against corruption.
Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ezekiel Mutua is one of the Kenyans in the list. Reacting to his nomination, Mutua, who is often referred to as the Kenyan 'moral police' termed the listing of his name as a recognition of his "crusade for moral and cultural transformation through film and broadcast sector."
Other Kenyans in the list included; Chief Justice David Maraga, who was recognised for his leadership role as the President of the Supreme Court of Kenya; Julie Gichuru, who is the CEO of African Leadership Dialogues; Kenyan Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o, who featured in several films including Black Panther (2018) and Angela Ndambuki, the CEO of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI).
Others are lawyer PLO Lumumba, Dr Monica Kerretts Makau, a Senior faculty director at Strathmore Business School and Professor Ruth Oniang’o, the founder of Rural Outreach Africa.
Politicians in the list include; Mauritius President Ameenah Gurib, South Africa's Cyril Ramaphosa, Rwanda's Paul Kagame and former Presidents Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (Liberia) and Joyce Banda (Malawi).
And myself to say the least
