Officers from the Transnational Crime Squad arrested 21 Nepali citizens during a midnight raid on two Nairobi strip clubs on Thursday night.
The Nepalese girls, who are suspected to be in the country illegally, were nabbed in two popular strip clubs located along Chiromo Lane in Nairobi's Westlands area.
The foreigners were taken to a victim rescue center operated by the Transnational Crime Squad as investigations into their presence in the country continue.
"If it is proved they are in the country legally, they will be released. But if not, then the agency will decide on whether to take them back to Nepal," an officer said.
In May, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i launched a crackdown to nab foreigners working in Kenya without proper documentation. The CS issued a 60-day ultimatum for all expatriates in Kenya to regularize their work permits.
It sounds like Kenyans have gone international even in strip clubs and perhaps prostitution. I have heard Chinese are also on Koinange So SGR joins in too.
