Kenya's 800m double Olympic champion David Rudisha's marriage appears to be on the rocks if the latest social media post by his wife is anything to go by.
In a recent Facebook post, Rudisha's spouse Lizzy Naanyu accused the 30-year-old two-time world champion of frustrating her and their children.
“David Lekuta Rudisha really stop frustrating me with my kids. To my family, my heart is heavy I can’t hold anymore. I love u all,” Naanyu wrote without elaborating.
Rudisha, who is the current world 800m record holder, has been away from the limelight and the athletics scene for several months. He missed the last two seasons saying he was nursing injuries.
When contacted for comment on the matter, his agent Mitchel Boeting said he is not aware of Naanyu's Facebook post, adding that he is not allowed to speak about the athlete's family matters.
“I cannot comment on their family matters. I have not even known about the post,” Boeting told The Standard.
"David might not compete this season. The injury healed and reoccurred. He will be late for the season and I think he will be back next season. We expect that all will be well for him,” the Dutchman added.

Such a woman has hit rock bottom and highest chance she has depression and that could be a suicidal post. You just never know
And so Social Media is the remedy, she should be speaking to her pastor or family.
Pole Rudisha.Ihope you get back on track literally. This could be part of the problem spilling into domestic affairs. You havent raced since RIO due to injury.Iwish you the best.
Wewe bibi keep telling the world your husband is frustrating you. Welcome to being married and dealing with marital woes. Look and see if the world cares. People will talk but you will be stuck there na hizo hizo shida!
In Maasai we call it emuno or engitok nee meeta nganyit
Social media....not the right move sis. Go speak to your man, failing that, engage the elders. This method never failed our parents or ancestors. Social media is basically advertising the fact that your man is up for grabs! Believe me, their are thirsty sisters out there willing to drag him up, just for his coins! On the upside: What a handsome family you have!
Ati stop frustrating my kids! They are Rudisha's too! I have a feeling she was there for his money! Classic example of a Gold digger! If Rudisha was to make a comeback & start bagging in more gold, I guess she would strip herself naked before him praising & calling him Lord! Kenyan ladies pooh!
@ Andrew, mothers almost always know that the kids are theirs But with fathers, its only DNA that proves parternity. Having said this, it is always assumed that kids born in marriage belong to the two married parties, but as you know, this is not always the case. So when Mom says my kids, she may be right...
@Maxiley...ha... ha! Maybe so, but I think in this case, it's the anger/passion speaking. I for one tends to use the possessive noun when I am heated, e.g..this is my house, my money! etc..although when broken down, it's really "our house", coz their are others in it! Anger and passion are very similar emotions and as humans we tend to be subjective when we feel wronged.
I hear you sister. The problem is that in anger, people have revealed "inconvenient truths" as well.
He in Tampa, afew years ago, a Naija killed his wife. Apprently in heated arguement, she had told him", this child is even not yours"...
@ Sukari, Iam trying to picture you telling your spouse,"This is my house",and him responding, " its mine too".
And the kids saying mom,and dad, its our house. And you looking at your hubby wondering when did the kids own the house...or...
It's very disgusting to see even men jump into conclusion about the lady yet we know nothing about her. Kenya is still and will be for a long time a patriarchal society. Men do no wrong, si ndio? Especially if the man is rich and famous. The woman has no say and no place. So this is a cry for help. Before castigating her let us seek the truth first. She could've gone to her elders and pastor and they probably all sided with her husband. And worse still she could've even tried to leave and got threatened by her husband. We don't know the situation. Ama mnataka mpate alichinjwa na bwana yake, ndio muamini kumbe the guy was frustrating her?
kenyan men bure kabisa!
Kenyan women need to style up, airing your domestic frustration on social media is uncouth. And before any woman throws jabs ati isjui men this and that - you might want to look within!
