A momentous clash is on the horizon as ten teams gather at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani for a unique opportunity to participate in the upcoming Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, Florida next February.
Taking place in Nairobi this month is the NFL Flag Championships which will showcase players under 12 years old. The championship will provide a platform for the successful squad to represent Kenya in the NFL FLAG International Division. During the All-Star Games, renowned players from the league often make appearances. Being non-contact and perfectly safe, football is considered a popular starting point for young athletes.
The Kenya Federation of American Football (KFAF) has been instrumental in promoting the sport and encouraging its participation among the youth throughout the country. The event follows a week-long training camp arranged by American football's governing body at the same location. The training saw NFL players of African descent participating and guiding the young athletes. Meanwhile, the popularity of the sport has grown remarkably throughout the country.
A gathering of 29 prospects, aged between 16 and 21 and hailing from several African countries including Cameroon, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, and Senegal, also convened for a three-day training which emulated that of the NFL Combine. Their aim was to showcase their skills and ideally secure opportunities in the NFL International Combine, NFL International Player Pathway Program, and possibly even a slot at the NFL Academy in the United Kingdom. These initiatives are part of the league's dedicated efforts to enhance opportunities for international athletes to pursue a career in the NFL.

1.6% of college players are eligible for draft at any given season in NFL,and only .0016%, or 259 enter in to NFL.Obviously one stands abetter chance getting a good job by graduating with a marketable scholastic achievement.
My advise is that one should participate in sports for fan,and exercise. And if you happen to excel, you are among the few.
Some parents have been known to believe in their childrens' ability so much that they have spent fortunes only to be disappointed.
@K comrade Kora Kanini,it's all about "Bens".Flag football is one of the sports that has been added to Olympic events. Now they are trying to expand and popularize it for survival.

Sports is form of entertainment to the fans if thy can afford the tickets which enhances growth/investment to the sport organization!..so if the Wananchi are poor, thy will priorities their choices where the games became obsolete option..
Let's flip the coin.
Very few folks ever make it to NFL , NBA, MLS, Hockey, ETC.
Sports and entertainment are distractions to the bigger issues affecting millions.
