Raila to Visit Kalonzo Musyoka in Germany on Friday

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga is expected to visit Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in Germany on Friday.

This comes after Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana and other opposition leaders visited the former Vice President on Tuesday.

Kalonzo has been in Germany for close to a month now allegedly taking care of his wife Pauline, who is receiving treatment at an unknown medical facility in the country.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) director of communications Philip Etale confirmed that Raila will visit his NASA co-principal this Friday. "Raila will visit him and travel back home [on] Friday," ODM communication director Philip Etale said in a tweet.

Raila is currently on a one week tour to the United States to seek support for his quest to push for electoral justice by piling pressure on President Uhuru to agree to a fresh presidential election.

When we do not develop our local hospitals in Kenya it come to hurt everybody when our relatives get sick. It would be better if Pauline was in a good hospital in Kenya. Kalonzo and the dudes visiting him would be in Kenya speaking swahili & eating Ugali & muthokoi. Germany is not an English speaking country so language barrier is an issue

Obviously taking a patient to Germany is an admission that our local hospitals are not able to handle whatever ails the patient.
May be what we should have asked wananchi is,do you need the SGR train,or improved and efficient hospitals?Chose one or the other.
What exactly are we lacking in our hospitals that Germany has? Can we put alist out,and figure away to meet this lacking"things"? In other words what are we doing wrong that Germany is doing right, and why are we doing it wrong?

Pole sana Kalonzo. I wish your wife quick recovery.

I wish all Kenyans would be able to access the same kind of care that these leaders can. A friend of mine had a relative at the Mbagathi hospital??? IDH (used to be) and she told me that the hospital in pathetic condition... The hospital now caters for most of the Kibera/low-income individuals.

Raila has been 'the' leader in Kibera for years.... WHAT HAS HE DONE FOR THE POOR PEOPLE OF KIBRA, if the nearest hospital is in shambles and pot-holed dirt roads full of mud and dirty running water, between dirty makotoni kiosks still stand as is? If the people who vote for you cannot get basic healthcare and some dignified surroundings, WHAT ARE YOU GOOD FOR, RAO? Decades in leadership with NOTHING TO SHOW?

Kenya hospitals they are NOT ALL bad. It’s just a mindset people have when they have money they take their families to hospitals abroad. I have seen Severe/Major illnesses treated in Kenya & they come out successfully. The largest number of people taken for hospitals abroad don’t survive either.

@Mayberry. I agree with you 50/50. There are some conditions that needs to be taken to other countries and those who do not have huge amount of money go to India. The rich also want to show off. They take their sick overseas even for conditions that can be treated at home. To make the matter worse they take their hospice patients overseas. They know somebody has few months left but they want that phrase 'so and so died in UK, USA, Germany etc'

I totally agree its a mindset problem. Another mindset problem we have is to blame the SGR for all our lacks. We can not suspend the building of airports, roads, ports, railways, etc...untill we bring our hospitals up to European standards. And even if we did, how many Kenyans will aford their services?
