Police Place Dagoretti MP Simba Arati under House Arrest

Police have placed Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati under house arrest at his residence Nairobi.

Speaking to Nairobi News by phone, the MP said that four officers pitched tent outside his home located on Tebere Crescent off Kangundo Road in Kileleshwa on Monday night. He further noted that three more security officers joined the rest in an armored vehicle on Tuesday morning.

“They are searching all vehicles leaving my homestead. They can see my cars inside and so they know I’m inside,” said Mr Arati.

Arati said he was not aware what informed the operation by police, but suspected it was connected to his role in the planning of Nasa parallel event to that of President Uhuru's inauguration.

“I am the mobiliser for Jacaranda meeting so I think this is related. They know if my supporters learn of the siege there will be a problem so that’s why they have brought the armoured car.”

National Super Alliance (NASA) had planned a memorial service at Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi for the victims of police brutality during the electioneering period.

Why go after the small fish if it is Baba you are after you know where to find him. Sema tu you are scared of the repercussions. This guy was under house arrest yet the NASA démonstrations still took place. You like Trump need to start building a large prison that can hold all of NASA supporters both in Nairobi and up country. Kuapishwa kitu gani sisi watu wa NASA bado tuko.

Without the incitement from these lead-as, wananchi would not be in the streets protesting what they know nothing much about. Instead of running battles between police and goons, get to the source and deal with the cause of incitement. These lead-as have perfected the art of indirectly calling their goons to action. A statement "They know if my supporters learn of the siege there will be a problem so that’s why they have brought the armoured car.” is an example of seemingly ordinary statement but intended to call action by goons.

Simba Arati, the MP for Dagoretti North which includes Kangemi. Lots of Luhya population in the area and that is why he keeps getting elected. He is one of the Raila foot soldiers of destruction specifically inciting every tribe against the Kikuyus. They were trying to provoke Kikuyu youth by importing Kibera goons to burn Kikuyu owned businesses. The scheme has not worked and now they have resorted to shooting women and children and parading the pictures as the work of Kenya police.
