Raila Takes Fight against Uhuru's Presidency to the United Nations

Opposition leader Raila Odinga will be challenging President Uhuru's reelection at the United Nations, sources close to him say.

The Star reports that National Super Alliance (NASA) is crafting a petition that will tabled at the UN to contest the legitimacy of Kenyatta. The appeal by the opposition outfit will formally be sent to UN secretary general Antonio Guterres and another to the African Union's Mousa Faki.

A team working on the petition is said to be making its final touches on it before briefing Odinga and his Nasa team. Raila reportedly met South Africa Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and South African politician Lindiwe Nonceba Sisulu during his tour Zanzibar, where more on the issue was discussed. However, exact details of these meetings rains scanty.

NASA economic strategist, David Ndii, MP Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache South), former EALA MP Abubakar Zein, Suna East’s Junet Mohamed and Kisumu Governor Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o are part of the workforce tasked with crafting the petition.

“We will be briefing the Prime Minister and we hope the letters will be dispatched,” a former diplomat working with the team told the Star.

“We will be telling the UN that no election was held on October 26th. It was a charade. The UN must, therefore, be briefed on the repercussions of Uhuru’s swearing-in without being validly elected as President of the Republic of Kenya,” Homa Bay MP Peter Kaluma said.

“I hope the United Nations and the AU will look at the issue objectively regarding what an unpopular President means for the country.”

This is the second time the opposition leader is seeking UN's help in solving Kenya's problems. Three months ago, Raila appealed to world body to review the August 8th election results, which were cancelled by the Supreme Court. However, Guterres rejected the request and advised political leaders to pursue election-related disputes to “the relevant constitutionally mandated institutions”.

I thought this idiot was to swear himself in as the "president" only to appoint his diehards in the parliamentary leadership groups with alot of objection from within. This lunatic will be finished from within his circles by the disgruntled members of the coalition who are openly taken for a ride.A LOSER IS ALWAYS A LOSER.

You are right. A loser will always be a loser and not a winner.

HahahHaha. You should take yourself to UN for terrorising Kenyans and destroying their properties. I am for the idea that you should be sitting your but hole in jail for causing destruction during elections. The looting that occurred is crime against humanity. Don't forget your coup history as well

Raila, you may as well take a rope, climb a tall tree, put the noose around your neck and hang yourself. That is the best you can accomplish at this time. Kenya is an autonomous sovereign nation.

Baba, it's too late now. Can we wait for the next election? 2022? You will easily beat William Ruto and then you will take us to Canaan.

For what? Dont you know UN isnt a place for busy bodies? Maybe your baba knows that very soon, he will be heading to hauge or kamiti or even mathare. But hold on lady; first thing first- let him swear himself as the president, occupy state house and then make silly requests to the united nations.

I didn't know kanaan would turn out to be so elusive. After being taken through a winding wilderness of elections, petitions, boycotts, self swearing, etc, now the journey takes a detour to UN. Ole wangu, hii kanaan hatufiki! Mzee pass on the baton sir. Kuna Joshua wengine wasio we bandia kama wewe.

When Bibi came to Kenya, he declared that there is only one owner of Canaan and only the owner can chose who gets to cross that sea to his territory, apparently he chose Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and his wafuasi. Now baba badia has to look for alternative when that was thwarted.

Woiii! There is one and only one Canaan! If bibi decided that it's UK's troop that got the pass through to canaan, then baba and his followers will die in the wilderness. Ouch! Kanaan ni mbali!

Bibi refused to give fake Joshua the title deed of Canaan. May be Kombe Kombe will help her in UN to get a slice of the boflo.

Small minds for little boys. Non stop bullshit. The country moved on and this man has been left behind to create as much trouble as he can dream of. It is not going to work. You went to the USA they laughed at you. UN will be a waste of time, but you seem to have prenty of.

Joshua, you withdraw from elections and now claim they didn't happen. Didn't you see the supreme justice maraga voting? Didn't you hear the highest court in land confirm Uhuru being duly elected. He has been sworn in by all instruments of power in Kenya. Move on fake Joshua.,I am out of the Canaan ship.. you go there by your self... uko na ujinga sasa

UN's duty is always to preserve peace. They are not blind to the fact that you, Odinga are the inciter in all this. I think the business community should sue you for the loss of business since you started this shenanigans. I personally would sue you (if I had money to waste) for whipping us up to a sense of anticipation, then withdrawing the last minute. You were clear you would be sworn in the day Uhuru was. I was waiting in baited breath for that..didnt happen. You told the Luos to withdraw from sex until you their men vote...something like that, now the Luo population is dwindling down given low birth rate and those being killed on duty (according to you, that is). This anticipation is an overkill, stop teasing us and go back to your family whom you have neglected in the last year or so.

Have they not abandoned Kenya to become the peoples republic . will he not be sworn in on 12th december . who will be holding the swearing book Ndii as Orengo give him the oath . Idiots

Surely Raila must know his request to contest the legitimacy of Kenyatta's presidency at the UN will be rejected because it it not their role to do so. Then why is he doing it? It is to string his followers along and give them false hope to keep them hanging on to Canaan ever shifting mirage.
