141 National Super Alliance (Nasa) Members of Parliament have moved to court to contest the decision by government to withdraw their bodyguards and revoke their firearm licenses.
Government reportedly withdrew the security details assigned to the opposition MPs over their involvement in the controversial swearing-in of Nasa chief Raila Odinga last week.
In a petition filed at the Milimani court on Monday, the MPs urged the court to suspend the decision pending hearing and determination of the case.
Through lawyer Peter Kaluma, the 141 argued that the decision puts their lives in danger and violates their constitutional rights as MPs.
"On the whole, the impugned decisions are unlawful, arbitrary, irrational, unreasonable, unfair and made in bad faith."
"The decision solely targets members of the Nasa coalition and therefore, is in bad faith, discriminatory and partisan," they added.
"It is a violation of provisions of the constitution which entitles every person to equality and freedom of discrimination."
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet, Firearm Licensing Board and its Secretary Samwel Kimaru are named as respondents in the petition.

Joshua24:14-15 ...and to you Nasariots - CHOOSE WHOM YOU WILL SERVE. Even Jesus asked his people to choose whom they'd serve. If you have ears, hear! Go Uhuruto!
What happened to Constitution, my foot?
You pull the constitution card when it favours you... that is what happened when one tribe came out to destroy their own country for selfish reasons.

Oh now they recognize the government. Their President should provide them with those he was distributing at Uhuru park during swearing in . I'm sure Wanjigi has some stashed away somewhere. Mara we do not recognize the government , mara oh government has withdrawn our priviledges, bure kabisa . Stay like average kenyans who rely on askari security !
These Guys and ladies should be given back their security jameni but only for those who never signed the affidavit endorsing Raila - you can not give a sword to your oponent in a fist fight.
Otherwise, why demand from a gvnmt you do not recognise. Haven't you formed one of your own with Rao as prezo, Miguna as general and TJK as your chief justice. Demand from then not from GoK.
Today you cheer because they came for your neighbor. Tomorrow when they come for you, there will be no one left to protest. If we dont have the LAW, what do we have?
You 141 Mpigs; your lives are not in danger more than the lives of the 40 million people in Kenya who cannot carry guns for security. Before you became elected you did not have security; why now. Second, your party has created a rebel group the National Resistance Movement. So then, you are a danger to the society and therefore you do not need to carry guns.
