Kenyan Man from Pennsylvania Killed in a Truck Collision in Ohio

A Kenyan man passed away in Allen County, Ohio in a vehicle collision involving two commercial trucks.

Alex Wanjiru, 39, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that occurred at approximately 4:25pm on Wednesday on US 30 in Allen County, Ohio.

Ohio State Highway Patrol say a semi-tractor-trailer being driven by Mark Meyer was traveling eastbound on US 30 and was trying to make a left run onto a local road when his truck was struck by a box truck being driven by Alex. The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the roadway and rest on a corner of the intersection.

Alex was pronounced dead at the scene by Allen County Coroner’s Investigator Jamie Sizemore, while Mark was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released.

Authorities say the accident remains under investigation.

May God forgive ‘honor’ for he knows not what he’s spewing. Alex was a great man who was deeply and generously involved with the Kenyan community in the Tri-State (PA,NJ&NY). A great man indeed. Almighty had an urgent opening for an Angel. He will be greatly missed in the Lehigh valley area and beyond. RIP bro. you will be celebrating and your legacy promoted.Go on and dance with the Angels and please save me a seat.Prayer and condolences to the family
