Form Four Student Beaten to Death After Sneaking into a Girls' School at Night

A 17-year-old student from Gathiruini Boys High School in Kiambu died after he was lynched by girls from a neighboring school.

The deceased was among six boys who sneaked out of their school and crept into a dormitory at Komothai Girls Secondary School at around 4:00 am on Thursday, according to a police report.

Under the cover of darkness, the boys tiptoed into Phoeb House for an unknown mission but they were spotted by some girls who immediately raised alarm, attracting the whole school.

On sensing danger, five of the boys managed to escape back to their school while the deceased was cornered by the angry girls who descended on him.

He sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Kigumo Level IV Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

Crime scene detectives visited the scene and recovered planks of wood suspected to have been used to assault the Form Four student.

“We wish to caution members of the public to desist from taking the law into their own hands and accord suspects the opportunity to face justice in a court of law,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigations warned.

Nice and easy for you to say, relaxed in your comfort and safety. These women or people who dispense mob justice are no different from you and me. See, when emotions run high, logic and reason goes out the window. Some people are good at controlling emotions than others, but when you have an emotional group think, where emotions are at a braking point, mob justice is hard to control. These women in their non emotional state would have made a totally different choice.
And yes while we wish to caution members of the public to desist from taking law into their own hands, we should also not fail to recognize what caused it.Here you have a aboy whose parents think he is sleeping after studies. What do you think they feel, to learn that their son was nyemelearing wasichana, sneaking in their dorm at 4am?
Anyway, those boys who escaped should count their blessings. They were up to no good.As for the girls, Iam sure they are traumatized, that's punishment enough.give them some counseling, and strengthen their security at school.Yes, Swift and natural reactionary justice is here to stay, till these brutes cease and desist from harming the innocent. The boy caused his own death.
