28 Injured as Easy Coach Bus Crashes Into Trailer in Salgaa

At least 28 people were injured in a collision involving a passenger bus and a trailer on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway on Monday morning.

The accident occurred near Salgaa in Nakuru County, a notorious stretch of road known for frequent crashes. The Easy Coach Ltd bus, travelling from Nairobi to Kisumu, collided with the rear of a trailer, causing significant damage to the vehicle.

Rescue teams, including personnel from the Kenya Red Cross, responded swiftly to the scene. Twelve passengers sustained critical injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. 

Sixteen others, who suffered less severe injuries, received roadside medical care before being discharged or referred for further attention. The wrecked bus was later towed to Kaptembwo Police Station for investigation.
