Kenyan Man Charged With Murder of Namibian Partner in Windhoek

A Kenyan man, Geoffrey Jeff Kasume, has been charged with the murder of his partner, Regina “Nambashu” Kondombolo, in Windhoek, Namibia.

The 33-year-old Namibian entrepreneur was found dead at her home in Otjomuise Extension 2 earlier this month, with authorities alleging she was assaulted before her death. Kasume, aged 40, is facing serious charges, though details about his background and employment status in Namibia remain unclear.

In December 2025, John Gitau Mwangi, a US Army staff sergeant originally from Kenya, was sentenced to 26 years in prison after admitting to the unpremeditated murder of his wife, Esther Gitau, during a domestic dispute in Texas. Similarly, Kevin Adam Kinyanjui Kangethe was accused of murdering his girlfriend in Boston and abandoning her body at Logan International Airport before fleeing to Kenya, where he was later extradited to face prosecution in the United States.

The Kenyan diaspora in the United Kingdom has also witnessed similar tragedies. In September 2025, Linner Sang, a social care worker from Kericho County, was fatally stabbed in Reading, with her husband, Edwin Kiplangat Yegon, arrested on suspicion of murder.
