Kenyan Community in Australia Mourns Sudden Death of Diaspora Member John Munga

The Kenyan community in Victoria, Australia is mourning the sudden death of John Munga, a well-known member of the diaspora who died unexpectedly on 12 March.

In a statement, the Kenyan Community in Victoria (KCV) described Munga as a valued member whose presence had touched many within the community. The organisation expressed its condolences to his family and asked members to keep them in their thoughts and prayers during this period of grief.

“It is with deep shock and profound sorrow that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved brother, John Munga,” the statement said.

KCV said the family has asked for privacy as they come to terms with their loss. Details of the funeral and plans to commemorate his life are expected to be announced in the coming week once arrangements are confirmed. In the meantime, the organisation has encouraged community members to support the family and remain united.

The Kenyan diaspora in Victoria is known for its strong sense of unity and shared cultural identity. Community groups often play an important role in supporting members who live far from home.

KCV’s Executive Committee, through its Media and Communications team, said the community stands together in mourning and remains committed to supporting Munga’s family.
