Kenyan Nahashon Wanyoike Disappears in the United States After Phone Call With Friend
Nahashon Wanyoike, a Kenyan father living in Shoreline, Washington, has been reported missing after he failed to arrive at work on Sunday, 15 March.
Wanyoike, widely known as “Kama”, was last heard from during a phone call with a friend as he travelled to his job at Alpha Supported Living. He did not reach his workplace, and his location remains unknown.
The Shoreline Police Department has opened an investigation into the disappearance. Authorities have released limited information as enquiries continue.
Family members and colleagues say his absence is out of character. They describe him as dependable and committed, making his sudden disappearance difficult to explain.
A few days earlier, on 11 March, he had visited his mother in Shoreline, an otherwise routine visit that has gained importance as relatives review his recent movements.
His family, including his 18-year-old son, is actively seeking information about his whereabouts.
Relatives say they are focused on confirming his safety and understanding what happened after his last known contact. Community groups and social media networks have circulated appeals for information. Colleagues at Alpha Supported Living have also been asked to report anything that may assist the investigation. Kenyan diaspora organisations across the United States have shared the case to increase awareness.
The case has caused concern within the Kenyan community abroad, where members often rely on close networks for support in unfamiliar environments. Efforts to locate Wanyoike are ongoing as authorities continue to seek information.
