US-Based Kenyan Woman Found Dead in Washington Apartment
Mumbi Ndonga, a 34-year-old Kenyan woman living in the United States, has died, leaving her family and community in mourning.
Ms Ndonga was the daughter of Rev. Dr Robert Ndonga of Fountain of Life Ministry and Lucy Ndonga of Fayetteville, Georgia. She had recently settled in Mukilteo, Washington. In the months before her death, she cared for her father during his illness, reflecting a longstanding commitment to supporting her family.
Relatives and friends described her as compassionate and reserved, with a strong sense of duty to others. They said her presence brought comfort and encouragement to those around her.
Her death has deeply affected the Kenyan diaspora community in the United States. She is survived by her parents and her siblings, Peter Mwendwa Ndonga and Beti Ndonga, who are both based in Fayetteville.
The family has asked for prayers, emotional support, and financial assistance to help organise her funeral. Contributions are being directed to her mother, Lucy Ndonga, through Zelle.
Community leaders and family representatives, including Bishop Mwawasi, Dr Joe Njoroge, Apostle Zephaniah Muturi, Christine Muchene, Loise Wanjue, and Dr Naomi Karaya, are assisting with coordination. The family expressed appreciation for the support received so far and has requested privacy as funeral arrangements continue.
