Missing Kenyan Worker Found Alive in UAE After Year-Long Disappearance
Stephen Mwangi Kimani, a 46-year-old father of two from Githunguri, Kiambu County, has been found alive in the United Arab Emirates after nearly a year without contact with his family.
His relatives had feared the worst after he suddenly became unreachable while living in Ajman. The uncertainty deepened when his daughter, Eunice Wanjiku, received information from an unidentified person claiming that her father had died. No evidence or further details were provided, leaving the family unable to verify the report.
Kimani has now re-established contact with his family, bringing an end to months of uncertainty. His sister, Esther Kimani, confirmed that he is safe and currently working in Rolla, Sharjah.
The breakthrough came after The Kenyan Diaspora Media published an appeal about his disappearance. Shortly afterwards, Kimani contacted his relatives and reassured them that he was well.
“Kimani reached out to us. He is safe and sound and is currently working in Rolla, Sharjah.” Esther said.
For the Kimani family, the news has brought relief after months of concern. They now know that their relative is alive and continuing his work in the Gulf nation.
