Kenyan Youtuber Shiko Hope Graduates From US Air Force Medical Programme

Kenyan content creator and US Air Force Airman Shiko Hope Wanjeri has graduated from the Basic Medical Technician Corpsman Programme at the Medical Education and Training Campus in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

The programme provides service members with the medical knowledge and practical skills needed to care for military personnel, marking the beginning of Wanjeri's career in military healthcare. Her graduation comes only months after she joined the US Air Force, adding another milestone to her journey since relocating to the United States. 

Wanjeri moved to the country after securing permanent residency through the Diversity Visa Lottery, which offers eligible applicants from selected countries the opportunity to live and work in the US. Alongside her military career, Wanjeri has continued creating content on YouTube, where she documents her life in the United States. 

Her videos share her experiences of settling abroad, pursuing a new career and adapting to life in a different country.
