Pauline Njoroge Resigns From Jubilee After 14 Years

Pauline Njoroge has resigned from the Jubilee Party’s National Executive Committee with immediate effect, ending her tenure as Deputy Organising Secretary after 14 years in the party and its predecessor, The National Alliance (TNA).

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Njoroge described her resignation as both a personal milestone and the beginning of a new political path. She said the decision marked the close of a significant chapter in her career while allowing her to pursue new opportunities.

Njoroge joined TNA in 2012 as Communications Manager before the party merged into Jubilee. During her time in the party, she became a prominent figure in strategic communications and said the experience helped shape her career. She said the role strengthened her skills and gave her direct insight into one of Kenya’s most significant political periods.

She paid tribute to former President Uhuru Kenyatta, describing him as a mentor who played an important role in her professional development. Puline said Kenyatta trusted her with responsibility, supported her growth and gave her opportunities to gain experience in governance across Africa and other parts of the world. She said his leadership had a lasting influence on her political journey.

Although she has left Jubilee, Pauline said she remains committed to public service. Since February, she has been involved in the Linda Mwananchi movement, which she said promotes constitutionalism, accountability and servant leadership. She also linked her decision to the WANTAM campaign, describing it as a call for national renewal based on integrity and people-centred governance. 

Pauline said she intends to continue supporting these initiatives as she begins the next stage of her political work. Her resignation comes as Jubilee continues to face internal divisions and a decline in influence following the end of Kenyatta’s presidency. 

Pauline said leaving Jubilee was a difficult decision but expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership and members for the opportunities and relationships she built during her time there. She said her focus is now on supporting platforms centred on accountability and national renewal.
